The Wagner Society of Northern California had the good fortune to host Dr. Nicholas Vazsonyi on November 13th. At this lecture event, he announced the Wagner World Wide – 2013 Project. This conference is a joint project with the University of South Carolina and the Forschstung Institut für Musiktheatre of the University of Bayreuth.
Presently the project has sent out a call for papers from scholars in the disciplines of German Studies, Modern Language and Music in order to draw the best speakers the world over.
A conference will be held in Columbia South Carolina in January – February 2013 and culminates with a conference in Bayreuth Germany at the conclusion of the 2013 Festspiele.
