Is Wagner's Music is "easier" to sing?

Apparently a researcher believes this to be the case. A careful examination of vowel/pitch matching on Wagner's part makes the higher notes easier to achieve according to Dr. John Smith, of the University of New South Wales.

Some lucky individuals who were able to attend a recent San Francisco Opera Center master class given by Wagnerian soprano Jane Eaglen, witnessed Ms. Eaglen working with singers to hit these high notes.
